Coaches & Athlete Safety

Safety first.
Always.

Great coaches build confidence, inspire effort, create trust, and challenge athletes while making them feel supported.

01Our Coaching Philosophy

At Prime Potential Volleyball, we believe great coaching is about far more than teaching volleyball skills. Great coaches build confidence, inspire effort, create trust, and challenge athletes while making them feel supported. Winning is important, but developing confident, respectful, resilient young people will always come first.

02Athlete Safety

The safety and well-being of every athlete is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, positive, and inclusive environment where every athlete feels physically and emotionally safe.

03Respectful Communication

Respect is expected from athletes, coaches, parents, officials, volunteers, and spectators. We encourage honest, kind, and constructive communication that builds confidence rather than diminishes it.

04Coach Screening

Our coaches are selected not only for their volleyball knowledge and experience, but also for their character, professionalism, leadership, and commitment to athlete development. Appropriate certifications and Safe Sport requirements will be maintained where applicable.

05Emergency Procedures

Every academy session follows established emergency procedures for the facility being used. Athlete safety always takes priority over continuing an activity.

06Concussion Awareness

Any athlete showing signs or symptoms of a concussion will be removed from participation immediately and will not return until medically cleared in accordance with recognized concussion guidelines. When in doubt, we choose caution.

07Zero Tolerance for Bullying

Prime Potential Volleyball has zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disrespectful behaviour. Every athlete deserves to feel accepted, valued, and supported.

08Every Athlete Has a Voice

Every athlete deserves to be heard. Athletes should never be afraid to ask questions, admit they do not understand something, or share ideas with their coaches. No athlete should ever leave a session feeling embarrassed for trying, asking, or making a mistake. Instead, every athlete should leave feeling encouraged, proud of the effort they gave, tired from giving their best, and excited to return for the next session.
